  On July 1st, deputy secretary of the Haikou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Ding Hui, Chairman and President of BYD Co., Ltd. Wang Chuanfu, Vice President of Hyundai Motor Group (China) Hyuk Joon Lee, vice president of Chery Automotive Co., Ltd. Gao Lixin, and deputy general manager of Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. Wang Ning,, respectively attended the 2019 World New Energy Vehicle Congress and held work meetings in Boao.

  Ding Hui pointed out that Haikou sincerely looks forward to forming a strategic partnership with industry-leading new energy vehicle manufacturers, and in-depth cooperation in product development,  EVCARD, and vehicle manufacturing. Haikou will also strive to provide multi-field application scenarios for new energy vehicles and promote the comprehensive promotion of new energy vehicles from public services to private applications in Haikou. At the same time, Haikou will set up a special team to closely connect with enterprises, provide policy support and follow-up services, and work together to make Haikou a centralized display and demonstration area for new energy vehicle applications, and contribute to the construction of the National Ecological Civilization Pilot Zone in Hainan.

  The heads of new energy vehicle companies said that enterprises will use their technological advantages and innovation platforms to set up new energy vehicle R&D centers in Haikou to form a collection of product research, development and industry training. Enterprise will cooperate in various business models and context of application. It aims to take Haikou as a foothold, gradually develop the Southeast Asian market, and achieve mutual benefit.
